It was a great evening.

We Did It!

Thanks to a VERY successful fund raising campaign for the 2017 LA marathon and 5K. Our total dollars raised for 2017 is $196,893—a new record! You should each feel incredibly proud for making this happen and for making a huge impact toward our goal to conquer cancer. The Concern Foundation in association with the Kevin Cordasco Something Yellow Foundation and several members of the AYA@USC family will be providing Dr. Hu with $50,000.00 in funding to support his research study entitled “A comparative transcriptomic and epigenetic analysis of pediatric, AYA, and adult rhabdomyosarcoma”.

The goal of this study will yield results enabling them to understand the similarities and differences between the different age groups of patients diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, thus allowing for a better refinement and subcategorization of this disease. After better molecular characterization of adult rhabdomyosarcoma, more precise therapy can be developed and applied with the goal of improving rhabdomyosarcoma patient outcomes.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to support this important research.
